Andrew Allen Ogar of Shelter Island passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025. He was 46 years old.

The family received friends on Friday, December 19th from 2-4 P.M. at the DeFriest-Grattan Shelter Island Funeral Home, where services were held during the visitation.

Andrew Allen Ogar, lifelong Shelter Island resident, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025. He was 46 years old.

Andrew was born on April 26, 1979 in Southampton, NY to Antonia T. (née DiGuilio) and Arthur W. Ogar Sr. He was one of two children. He graduated from Shelter Island High School. In his professional career, he worked as a short order cook and a mechanic. He worked for Two Ed’s restaurant on Shelter Island. He was also a member of Our Lady of the Isle R.C. Church on Shelter Island.

Andrew is survived by his father Arthur Sr. and mother Antonia; brother Art W. Ogar; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family received friends on Friday, December 19th at the DeFriest-Grattan Shelter Island Funeral Home, where services were held during the visitation, officiated by Father Peter DeSanctis.
