For more than sixty years, Marguerite was a dedicated provider of funeral service to the families being cared for by the family's funeral home.

She was responsible for managing the office and for answering the phones. She never asked for time off. So, she did it every day, both day and night and never complained.

She was a friendly and familiar voice to those calling, and most importantly, she was a friend and mentor.

In honor of Marguerite's dedication and to the expectation of so many of our callers, we still take pride in answering the phones ourselves. At all times, you will speak to a member of the DeFriest-Grattan Family who will be as patient, kind, compassionate and helpful as she was.
