Diane Gail Palumbo of Mattituck, and former longtime resident of Patchogue, passed away at home on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. She was 83 years old. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 25th from 2-6 P.M. at the DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Mattituck. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 26th at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church in Mattituck, officiated by Father Michael Bartholomew. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery in Cutchogue. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Diabetes Association would be appreciated. Donation forms will be available at the funeral home.
